Fans watching the ‘Sunday Night Football’ broadcast featuring the Kansas City Chiefs and Atlanta Falcons on NBC last night likely noticed that there were some glitches during the game and likely blamed their TV or provider.
The Chiefs are 3-0 to start the season following their second-straight Super Bowl win earlier this year. They won another close one on Sunday, beating the Falcons 22-17, and needed some luck to get it over the line. The referees appeared to miss a late pass interference call that could have swung things the other way.
NBC’s broadcast wasn’t as perfect as the network would have hoped for. There were a few glitches here and there, which apparently prompted some frustration for announcer Cris Collinsworth.
“If you’ve noticed a couple of glitchy moments on the NBC Sunday Night Football broadcast of Chiefs-Falcons, it’s not just your TV/device,” shared in a tweet.

“It’s the Falcons accidentally making a good play that went against the script,” a fan quipped.
“Thanks, 3 day old TV not the problem,” one added.
“I keep getting black screens when they try to play replays,” a comment read.
“At least it didn’t happen during the Olympics and Paralympics,” another wrote.
Despite the advances in technology, glitches remain unavoidable and will pop up from time to time. In this particular case, it wasn’t such a huge deal and viewers were likely more relieved to learn their devices weren’t the problem than they were upset at NBC.
