Former Super Bowl champion James Jones dislikes everything Micah Parsons did with his podcast.
On Tuesday’s episode of “The Facility,” Jones took some time to blast Parsons for speaking with a division rival.
Philadelphia cornerback Darius Slay was a guest on ‘The Edge with Micah Parsons,’ and not many people, including James Jones, approved of it.
“The competitive nature of our game is gone,” Jones claimed. “Everybody’s worried about the fame, the stardom, all that. Nobody’s worried about the competition no more. … There’s no rivalries in football no more. Real rivalries. Not on the field, not off the field. There’s no more real rivalries.”
The Super Bowl XLV champion went on to reminisce about the way rival players used to conduct themselves back when he used to play.
“I always remember the old school players saying, ‘Man, we would’ve dogged y’all.’ I’m like, ‘Bruh, shut [up]. What you talking ’bout?’ But they right!” the nine-year NFL continued. “They was way more dogs than us! They played way harder, they had way more rivals, they had way more competition.”
“Nowadays man we trying to trade jerseys. The backup quarterbacks is trading jerseys, the starting running backs is trading jerseys, the punters is trading jerseys… there is no rivalries in the league no more. And it starts with this little stuff right here… that’s crazy to me. I hate everything about it because the competition and all that in our game to be honest with you… I think it’s going down.”

The idea of Cowboys and Eagles players openly fraternizing during the season is something we, as fans, are not used to seeing, but this is a new day and age where a ton of athletes have podcasts, and things are changing right before our eyes.
Jerry Jones Reveals Cowboys’ Plan to Replace Micah Parsons And Demarcus Lawrence
The Dallas Cowboys will be without star linebacker Micah Parsons and defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence for the foreseeable future after both suffered injuries on Thursday Night Football.
Based on team owner Jerry Jones’ comments on 105.3 The Fan this week, it appears the Cowboys will be leaning on internal options to help replace their production instead of going outside of the team to find others.
“We’re fortunate to have these young guys to step up here,” Jones said, via Jon Machota of The Athletic.
Those players would include Marshawn Kneeland, Chauncey Golston, and Carl Lawson.
Lawrence has a Lisfranc injury in his right foot and will be sidelined for 4-8 weeks.
Micah Parsons suffered a high-ankle sprain and was seen in a boot and on a scooter at practice on Monday, according to Cowboys insider Clarence Hill Jr.
Parsons has not really had to deal with missing games since he has only missed one so far in his young career.
“It’s just frustrating, for real,” Parsons said Monday. “You put a lot of energy into getting ready and being there for the team, so being out, this hurts me because I’m letting people down. I’m just letting people down. I figured myself invincible for a while.
