Kirk Herbstreit made a bizarre comment about Cleveland Browns consultant Mike Vrabel during ‘Thursday Night Football.’
Al Michaels and Kirk Herbstreit are in the broadcast booth again for TNF between the Browns and Steelers. Vrabel, who coached the Tennessee Titans from 2018 to 2023, is now working as a consultant for Kevin Stefanski’s staff.
Herbstreit and Michaels were talking about the former New England Patriots star linebacker during the broadcast. Herbstreit told a bizarre story about how Vrabel swears at the Kindergarten kids that he coaches in football.
Kirk Herbstreit even used the term “a**” on the broadcast:
We know Herbstreit was just trying to compliment Vrabel, but he probably should have thought a little harder before actually talking. It’s not like everyone is going to praise Vrabel fo talking to kids like that.

Mike Vrabel Will Likely Be An NFL HC Again
Many were surprised when the Titans fired Vrabel in January, given his reputation as a players coach. He brought relevance to a long-struggling franchise, helping them to four straight winning seasons (2018 to 2021), three playoff berths and a trip to the 2019 AFC Championship Game.
Vrabel’s resume means he’ll likely be an NFL head coach again soon. It was rather surprising that he went unhired in the 2024 cycle, but it’s likely only a matter of time until he’s back in thegame.
