He may be a defensive tackle now, but Khalen Saunders returned to his high school roots on “Monday Night Football” and has not etched his name into fans’ minds everywhere.
Saunders, who played running back in high school, showed people just how athletic a guy over 300 pounds could be when he intercepted Patrick Mahomes’ pass in the end zone before scampering 37 yards downfield late in the third quarter.
Him coming out of the end zone set up a Saints touchdown.
The unexpected display of speed from New Orleans Saints defensive tackle Khalen Saunders, who is recorded as weighing 324 pounds, drew quite a reaction from the NFL world as Jason Kelce, Tom Brady, and JJ Watt had to speak on it.

New Orleans Saints Defensive Tackle Khalen Saunders Says He Was Travis Hunter Type Player In High School
Travis Kelce took a tough hit during the Chiefs’ Monday Night Football game against the New Orleans Saints, and that player just happened to be Khalen Saunders, the brother of Kameron Saunders, Taylor Swift’s backup dancer.
Kameron was already a fan favorite on Swift’s hugely successful Eras Tour and has been working with the “So High School” singer since before her romance with Kelce began.
Khalen Saunders quickly made a name for himself after the hit on Kelce, and then his interception return.
It turns out that these were normal things for him to do while in high school.
The New Orleans Saints defensive tackle showed AJ Greene a highlight video of him playing running back and defensive tackle at Parkway Central High School in Chesterfield, Missouri.
He made it clear that he was a Travis Hunter-type player.
“I was lowkey like a Travis Hunter before he came,” Saunders said on a recent episode of The G.O.A.T. Farm podcast.
