Jon Gruden was one of the best NFL head coaches of his time. While his exit from the NFL may not have been as pretty and legendary as he may have liked, there is a case to be made that he may be getting a second chance.
Gruden coached in the NFL for over 30 years as both position coach, coordinator, and even head coach. He saw time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Green Bay Packers, and most recently, the Las Vegas Raiders.
Gruden had a decent record as an NFL head coach. He won 117 times over his 15 seasons as a head bench boss, compared to taking only 112 losses. Gruden earned himself a Super Bowl in 2002 during the aptly named “Gruden Bowl.”
However, while he may have been fired from the NFL following some horrible scandals, some people are linking the now-Barstool Sports employee to the Chicago Bears after a recent video went viral.
Gruden loves the Bears secondary.

Jon Gruden Could Be Heading To Chicago?
In the video, Jon Gruden speaks highly of the Chicago Bears’ defense. He even calls them a “young legion of boom,” obviously a reference to the Seattle Seahawks legion of boom from the early 2010s era.

Gruden complimented the Bears offense into oblivion while talking on Barstool Sports’ Pro Football Football Show, claiming they have a good quarterback, receivers, and a tight end and that Williams just needs to “get rid of the ball” more.

It should be noted that the Bears recently fired both their offensive coordinator, Shane Waldron, and head coach, Matt Eberflus. Their interim head coach is Thomas Brown, who took over the OC spot before moving up after Eberflus’ firing. Gruden would definitely be an upgrade.
