After leading the Colts to victory, Joe Flacco brought laughter to his interview with his statement about Anthony Richardson and his mother.
The 39-year-old Flacco got some run on Sunday after Anthony Richardson was hurt, and he promptly led the Indianapolis Colts to a 27-24 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
In the game, Joe Flacco completed 16-of-26 passes for 168 yards and two touchdowns.
Following the game, Flacco spoke with Aditi Kinkhabwala of CBS Sports when he was informed that Richardson believed he was “cooler” than he expected.
The 39-year-old Flacco made it clear why that is not true.
“He told me his mom is eight days older than I am, so there’s no chance in the world he thinks I’m cool,” Flacco said.

Richardson completed three of his first four passes for 71 yards and added 24 more rushing yards but was injured with 5:42 to play in the first quarter.
As for the beginning of the interview, Joe Flacco said that game action acts as a fountain of youth.
“When you’re out here in this environment … you feel like you’re 12 years old,” Flacco said.
“This is a little bit of a difference experience,” he added of entering the game late in the first quarter with the Colts in the red zone. “It’s not the most ideal, when you’re trotting onto the field when a guy goes down.”
Flacco did enough to lead the Colts to a much-needed win, which puts them at 2-2 on the year. The team is on a two-game winning streak after losing its first two games.
