Patrick Mahomes’ four-word message to Justin Herbert after Sunday’s Chiefs-Chargers game was caught by nearby cameras in the wake of the 19-17 result at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday night.
The 12-1 Chiefs clinched the AFC West with their latest win, with kicker Matthew Wright sealing the W with a field goal that doinked off the left upright before flying over the crossbar.
It was more of the same for Kansas City on the night as most of their wins this season have been marginal. At the end of it all, they were able to get the job done.
After the game, Mahomes was seen embracing his opposite number Justin Herbert. “Hell of a game,” he told the Chargers quarterback before they went their separate Ways.

Patrick Mahomes Was Overjoyed At The Chiefs’ Clincher
Mahomes spoke to reporters after the win and expressed immense pleasure over winning the AFC West again.
“It’s our first goal every single year to win the AFC West,” he said. “It’s a great division. We’re in a lot of rivalries where everybody’s played each other tough and three teams are going to probably make the playoffs, that speaks to the division that we play in.
“To be able to win this division, to gain another game in the playoff picture — it was an important game for us against a really good football team. We found a way to get a win, but now we got to keep building if we want to get to our ultimate goal.’’
With four games left on the schedule, the Chiefs will now be keen on securing a playoff bye.
