Rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers has seemingly changed how the New York Giants operate on offense. However, even his amazing performance on the field can’t keep head coach Brian Daboll from excusing some of his poor decisions.
Currently, Nabers is on concussion protocol after suffering a serious head injury against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 4. He has since missed the Giant’s game last week against the Seahawks and could miss another.
Now, though, there seems to be some drama between Nbers and Dabol. Of course, recovering from a concussion is serious, and the player should take things slow until they are fully healthy.
However, Nabers instead attended a Travis Scott concert hosted at MetLife Stadium earlier in the week.
While talking to reporters, Dabol was asked if he had any issue with Nabers attending that concert. He then responded, “Yeah, I’ll keep that in-house.”
If there were no problems, the head coach could have easily brushed the question off and moved on to the next one, but that wasn’t the case.

It’s not a good look that a rookie, just five weeks into his NFL career, is already starting off on a broad foot with his head coach.
Brian Daboll Could Be On The Hot Seat Soon
Dabol has had an interesting coaching career with the Giants.
He took them to the playoffs in his first year after a 9-7 regular-season finish. He even advanced to the second round of the playoffs after winning the Wild Card round.
However, things have not improved since. In 2023, he finished with an abysmal 6-11 record, and fans were already calling for his firing.
Now, in 2024, he is essentially coaching to keep his job, and the Giants are off to a decent 2-3 record, but they will need to start playing much better for a shot at the playoffs.
