The NFL finally held the long-awaited schedule reveal on Wednesday night, and the San Francisco 49ers seemingly got a pretty good deal in terms of who they’re slated to take on throughout the season.
According to particular sportsbooks, the defending NFC champions are slated to be favorites to win all 17 games next season. This isn’t impossible, but it isn’t very likely, and one NFL analyst seems to agree with the unlikely part.
Nick Wright is concerned that the team will get off to a slow start in 2024 after it was revealed that they are slated to take on the New York Jets, Minnesota Vikings, and the Los Angeles Rams.
Wright stated that he believes the team seems more like it will be fighting for a playoff spot rather than comfortably seated in the driver’s seat with a number one seed in hand heading into the postseason.

Sure, analysts could agree with Wright. However, the league is subject to so much change over the next few months, and there is still a decent chunk of change left this offseason before even the pre-season gets underway in August.

It all depends, though, on the health of Brock Purdy, the number one quarterback, tight end George Kittle, running back Christian McCaffrey, and receivers Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk, the latter of whom is currently being floated in trade talks.
If Aiyuk is traded and the return isn’t sufficient enough to keep the 49ers squad competitive, the NFL landscape could change next season. As we wait till the new season begins, we only hope to get some great NFL news!
