Prior to the kickoff between the Los Angeles Chargers and Houston Texans at NRG Stadium, Texas native Nancy Curtis performed her rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner.”
The national anthem held significant value as many people are still dealing with the devastating fires in the Los Angeles area that have affected many residents.
Unfortunately, not many people were feeling the National Anthem, and most took to social media to express their opinions.
“Terrible national anthem, Houston,” one fan said.

The AFC South Champion Houston Texans are not having a good start as they play host to the Los Angeles Chargers at NRG Stadium.
The team’s offense has been unable to do much, as the defense has had to hold the Chargers to two field goals.
The Chargers headed into this game on a three-game winning streak and will look to carry that momentum into the next round if they can pull out a win.
The Texans lost two of their last three games coming into this wild-card matchup.
Texans And Chargers Going In Different Directions
The Houston Texans are not the same team as they were in 2023, and the Chargers aren’t either.
The Chargers have been so much better, and while Houston has the same record as last year, they are not the same team that shocked the league.
