Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin caused a bit of a stir after making a curious comment involving “butts” during his team’s ‘Sunday Night Football’ clash against the Dallas Cowboys.
The teams played a scrappy first half at the Acrisure Stadium after a concerning weather delay. Pittsburgh went into halftime down 6-3 against the away side, as their defense kept them in the game.
Tomlin was interviewed by NBC Sports after the end of the first half and relayed his feelings on what he’d seen up to that point, suggesting his players were beating themselves.
“If we stop kicking our own butt, we can start focusing on theirs,” he said.
