ESPN has officially released its first promo video for the season, highlighting the week 1 Monday Night Football game between the Jets and 49ers, which will be streamed on the network.
It highlights many of the team’s best players, with Aaron Rodgers, Garrett Wilson, Breece Hall, and Sauce Gardner representing the Jets. For the 49ers, the clips mostly consist of Brock Purdy, George Kittle, Fred Warner, and Deebo Samuel.
Of course, with so much anticipation behind the game, many on social media gave their opinions on the video.
“Lol showing the jets and Rodgers with that flag just feels wrong,” said one comment.
“How do you not include the “what a catch” (Garrett Wilson) iconic sound bite from last years MNF?” said another.

“They sell Aaron. But don’t / won’t put up any names of the Niners superstars. Bad framing by ESPN. Niners went to the SB and have many Pro Bowlers. A legendary QB vs. QB who was framer irrelevant is NOW a top 5 or 10 QB. But ESPN won’t put his name up in lights? Shame,” added a third about the MNF promo.

“How is there even that much video of Rodgers in a Jets uniform?” continued a fourth.
Pre-game promos are always a very popular part of showcasing an upcoming matchup and it seems that everyone really enjoyed this one.
