The veteran Houston Texans safety saw his time to shine during the primetime game, and he took it during the player introductions.

Last week, Jimmie Ward racked up three tackles in the team’s win against the Indiana Colts.
Through two weeks, the Texans are the only team in the AFC South with a victory.
The Northern Illinois product was limited to 10 games last season, but when on the field, he was a starter.
Ward had 73% defensive snap share.
This season should be no different, as he will continue handling a starter’s workload.
Jimmie Ward Agreed To New Extension With The Houston Texans During Offseason
Jimmie Ward is set to remain in Houston beyond the 2024 season as the veteran safety came to terms with the team this offseason.
He agreed to a one-year extension. The agreement also includes $5.25MM in new money.
Ward will now be under contract through the 2025 season after the 33-year-old made his Texans debut last season, the first of DeMeco Ryans’ tenure as head coach.
Since entering the league in 2014, Ward has been an important person to have on defense.
He spent nine years with the San Francisco 49ers, where he had 79 starts and 116 appearances.
