The city of Philadelphia is overjoyed on the back of the Eagles’ latest move, so much so, fans called the front office to congratulate and thank them for agreeing to a deal with running back Saquon Barkley.
Barkley is leaving the Giants this offseason, though he will remain in the NFC East as he’s set to be an Eagle. The former NFC champs have signed him to a three-year deal worth up to $46.7 million which includes $26 million in fully-guaranteed money.
Howie Roseman has lived up to his reputation, securing one of the biggest names on the free agent market for the Eagles’ offense, and fans are ecstatic.

Barkley rushed for 962 yards and six touchdowns in 2023, adding 41 receptions, 280 receiving yards, and another four TDs. it was a dip from the previous season in which he rushed for 1,312 yards and 10 scores as he suffered a high-ankle sprain early in the term.

The Giants didn’t bother placing the franchise tag on him this year following a standoff in 2023. Barkley opted not to sign the tag, playing on a one-year deal worth $11 million after fighting for more money following the team triggering said tag.
Roseman, who is known for allocating small sums of the Eagles’ budget for running backs, has deviated from his stance given Barkley’s availability. He might get a few calls from fans himself.
