Las Vegas Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce may have added some fuel to the fire when it comes to the Davante Adams trade rumors.
The Raiders hit the new cycle hard again this week when Antonio Pierce liked an Instagram post in which Sports Illustrated’s Michael Fabiano reported that Adams may have “already played his last snap with the Raiders.”
It’s likely Pierce was trolling the media by liking the Instagram post, but it wasn’t a laughing matter to the player it was about.
Davante Adams appeared on Tuesday morning’s edition of Up & Adams and told host Kay Adams he had not heard from Pierce about the incident.
“I haven’t heard from him. I haven’t talked to him,” Davante said. “I don’t really know exactly what that’s about.”

“Social media is a beast, so it’s a lot of people out there that saw it,” the wide receiver said. “I haven’t spoke to him.”
The All-Pro wide receiver is currently dealing with a hamstring injury and didn’t play in Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns.
In three games this season, Adams has caught 18 passes for 209 yards and one touchdown.
Last year, he was truly dynamic as he hauled in 103 receptions for 1,114 yards and eight touchdowns.

Will The Raiders Trade Davante Adams?
The Raiders are last in the AFC West but are tied with the Los Angeles Chargers and Denver Broncos with a 2-2 record.
There’s still plenty of football to be played, but it appears Davante Adams will not be there for the remainder of the games.
A new report says the Las Vegas Raiders are at least open to exploring trade opportunities involving Adams.
According to Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review Journal, the Raiders are “growing open” to the idea of a trade and have started contacting teams to gauge their interest.
