Albert Huggins, who spent the 2023 season with the Atlanta Falcons signed with the Cowboys last week following a successful tryout. Huggins is vying for one of the roster spots on a Dallas defensive line that lost several key contributors from 2023, including Dorance Armstrong and Dante Fowler Jr.
On Wednesday afternoon, Cowboys reporter Jon Machota of The Athletic shared a video of Huggins inexcusably pushing over a Rams staff member during a pass-rushing drill. Huggins’ unnecessary move nearly led to a physical brawl between the two teams:
Calvin Watkins of The Dallas Morning News subsequently reported that Albert Huggins was kicked out of the practice.

Albert Huggins Pushes For One Of Cowboys’ Final Roster Spots
The 27-year-old Huggins saw limited playing time in his 2019 rookie year with the Philadelphia Eagles, appearing in just four games. He played only one game for the Detroit Lions in 2020 and nine contests for the New Orleans Saints in 2021.
Huggins made 13 game appearances for Atlanta in 2023 (five starts) and finished with 22 combined tackles. With Dallas losing several key players in their front seven earlier this offseason, the path is there for Huggins to step up and lock down one of the team’s final 53-man roster spots.
