CJ Stroud and the Houston Texans lost more than just a game on Saturday.
Patrick Mahomes threw for 260 yards and a touchdown while running for a score, leading his team to a 27-19 victory over the Houston Texans on Saturday.
Stroud had 244 yards and two touchdown passes with two interceptions for Houston.
Unfortunately, one of his touchdown passes came at great expense. Tank Dell, who had six catches for 98 yards, likely had his season end after he hurt his left knee on the play and was carted from the field.
Dell was hurt on the Texans’ opening drive of the third quarter.
CJ Stroud was extremely affected as he could be seen praying and crying on the field.
The NBC broadcast showed the second-year quarterback being comforted by veteran running back Joe Mixon while trying to fight off tears.

Where Does CJ Stroud And The Texans Go After Loss of Tank Dell?
The Houston Texans are already headed to the playoffs, but the team has lost Stefon Diggs and Tank Dell in the receiver room.
So, where does that leave CJ Stroud in the passing game?
Yes, he does have Nico Collins, but now teams can pay extra attention to him without another scary player on the field.
There are some notable names out there, so the team has a chance to add someone before the playoffs.
