The Detroit Lions may have won on Thanksgiving, but the Chicago Bears would steal all the major headlines for all the wrong reasons.
The Bears were in prime position to kick a field goal and force overtime against the NFC-leading Lions. Rookie quarterback Caleb Williams took a terrible sack before he made things much worse by gobbling up the remaining game clock to try to stuff a deep ball into double coverage.
It was a scene that had everybody shocked.
One Chicago Bears fan recorded his live reaction to that play, and he was just as flabbergasted as anyone.
The poor guy couldn’t believe what he was witnessing, from Caleb Williams taking a bad sack to the team not calling a timeout to his rookie quarterback only getting off one play on a third down.
In the end, Chicago lost 23-20 and fell to 4-8.

Detroit improved their record to 11-1 while also snapping a seven-game Thanksgiving day skid.
Caleb Williams finished the day with 256 yards and three touchdowns.
Jared Goff completed 21 of 34 passes for 221 yards and two touchdowns in Thursday’s 23-20 win over the Bears.
The Chicago Bears Need A Coaching Change
The Chicago Bears have never fired a head coach during the season, but what happened on Thursday may have finally convinced them to do so.
The handling of the end of their Thanksgiving game was inexcusable, and someone needs to pay for what happened.
Bears coach Matt Eberflus botched the opportunity to send Thursday’s game against the Lions to overtime. However, he sounded like a man who had zero issue with what happened.
“I like what we did there,” Eberflus said when asked how he should have handled the closing seconds of the game. “I think we handled it the right way.”
