Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was understandably and entirely speechless after watching his team commit a back-breaking and mind-boggling mistake that proved costly in their Monday night loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.
After getting a sack on Joe Burrow to bring up a punt at the two-minute warning, it looked like Jerry Jones’ Cowboys were about to pull off another upset and extend their win streak to three.
The Cowboys managed to block Ryan Rehkow’s punt, and it looked like they would take over with a short field and near field goal range for Brandon Aubrey. Unfortunately, Amani Oruwariye touched the football and allowed Cincy to recover it for a fresh set of downs:

The Bengals would take the lead on a 40-yard touchdown pass from Burrow to Ja’Marr Chase, and the defense forced a turnover on downs to seal a 27-20 victory.
Everything Has Gone Wrong For Jerry Jones’ Cowboys This Year
Just when it looked like the Cowboys would pull off a prime-time upset with backup QB Cooper Rush, they find a way to lose in one of the most unimaginable ways possible. A muffed punt return after blocking the initial kick? Who else would this happen to but the 2024 Cowboys?
