All eyes will be on Jared Verse when he plays the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday afternoon following his comments about hating Philly fans last week.
Some of the Eagles faithful couldn’t wait for Verse and the Los Angeles Rams to get to the stadium today and piled up outside the team hotel to heckle them while they made their way out.
The outside linebacker did a lap around the field in pregame and put a hand to his ear while fans jeered before being confronted by Eagles defensive tackle Jalen Carter, who appeared to tell him something that likely wasn’t positive.
Verse was heard saying, “I’ll take that 77 for next round, I’ll put that in my pocket.”

What Did Jared Verse Mean?
NFL Media’s Mike Garafolo, who shared the video, said he had no idea what Carter told Verse and wasn’t sure what the Rams player meant by his response.

However, he suggested that the Rams superstar may be referring to the $77,000 each player receives for appearing in the championship round. It is possible that Carter challenged Verse to put some money on the table for today’s battle, with the rookie’s reference to the $77K being his way of turning down the offer.
Should that be the case, let’s see who gets that “77.”
