In his first season coaching football after retiring from the NFL, Teddy Bridgewater showed that he could make some moves in the coaching world by leading Miami Northwestern Senior High School to the Class 3A Florida High School Athletic Association state title on Saturday night.
Miami Northwestern won 41–0 in the Florida 3A state title game over William Raines Senior High.
Bridgewater accomplished what seemed impossible last year in just 10 months.
As expected, he was incredibly enthusiastic about this accomplishment.

With a state title, Bridgewater capped off an incredible turnaround for Miami Northwestern after the team had gone 4-6 in 2023.

Teddy Bridgewater’s team finished the season 12-2, outscoring its five playoff opponents by a combined score of 262-12 and ending the year on a 10-game winning streak.
With its 2024 triumph, Miami Northwestern now has a claim to eight state titles overall.
Teddy Bridgewater Has Become A Great Comeback Story
Teddy Bridgewater had a major change to his career when he tore his ACL, dislocated his knee, and suffered “other structural damage” that required surgery that kept him out for the entire 2016 season.
His knee injury was particularly career-altering, as it raised long-term concerns about his durability and led to him taking on more of a backup quarterback role in the years to follow.
In the last two years of his career, Bridgewater would only play in six games.
Despite the sudden turn in his career, Bridgewater kept his head up and knew he had something greater in his life.
He would retire after the 2023 season and take the head coaching job with Miami Northwestern, a team that went 4–6 last season.
He finished his career with 15,120 yards and 75 touchdown passes.
