Cameras caught a bizarre sideline interaction between Shane Waldron and Caleb Williams, suggesting the Chicago Bears’ rookie quarterback is done with his offensive coordinator.
Caleb Williams and the Bears welcomed a two-win New England Patriots squad to Soldier Field today. This was the ultimate get-right game for a struggling Bears team that dropped its previous two games.
But the Bears have shown little fight against the rebuilding Patriots. And judging by Williams’ response to Waldron on the sideline, it looks like the rookie signal-caller has had it with his offensive coordinator:

It’s important to be patient with rookie quarterbacks, but Williams was drafted first overall for a reason. The Bears supplied him with four big-time playmakers in DJ Moore, Keenan Allen, Rome Odunze and D’Andre Swift, so there’s no excuse for the offense to be this bad.
Bears head coach Matt Eberflus is among the front-runners to be the next HC fired. A loss to New England at home might be the final nail in the coffin for the third-year HC.
