Things are going so bad for Chicago Bears head coach Matt Eberflus these days that even his cell phone, in the 21st century no less, let him down during a live radio interview.
Matt Eberflus was a guest on the “Kap & J.Hood” program on Monday, one day after they were upset 19-3 by the New England Patriots at Soldier Field. Unfortunately, Eberflus’ cell phone service abruptly stopped working and allowed David Kaplan to roast the third-year head coach during the live interview.
As Eberflus was talking about the team’s need to bounce back, his phone cut out. That’s where Kaplan took the opportunity to destroy the Eberflus and the Bears.
“Coach, your cellphone is as bad as the offense right now,” Kaplan said.
What can we say? The joke simply writes itself.

After a promising 4-2 start, Matt Eberflus and the Bears have dropped three games in a row. Sunday’s loss to the Patriots was undoubtedly the low point of the season, and time is running short on a turnaround.
Matt Eberflus Could Be The Next Head Coach Fired
So far, two coaches have been fired during the 2024 season (Dennis Allen of the Saints and Robert Saleh of the Jets). Some thought Eberflus would be let go after Sunday’s loss to New England, but it’s hard to envision him lasting another week if they fall to the archrival Green Bay Packers on Sunday.
