A former NFL star reckons Aaron Rodgers “catfished” the New York Jets.
The Jets’ season hasn’t gone as expected so far. Rodgers is back healthy after being sidelined for his first season in NY, yet the team has lost three of their first five games and has had to fire head coach Robert Saleh ahead of their upcoming fixture against the Buffalo Bills.
Rodgers was criticized on ESPN’s ‘Get Up’ earlier this week, with former Pittsburgh Steelers safety Ryan Clark suggesting that he fooled the team into believing he was someone he wasn’t before they traded for him.
“That Aaron Rodgers that we thought we knew was in a fantasy land and a figment of our imagination. The Aaron Rodgers that we mention in the names of Tom Brady and Peyton Manning was a catfish…” Clark claimed.
“The Aaron Rodgers that we always put in that conversation was because he was the best quarterback we’d seen. He could throw the football in ways that even those other two couldn’t. But other two had the MVPs and the championships.
“And what I say about this is, Aaron Rodgers has every physical tool to have been the greatest quarterback to have played this game. There is something that he is missing in his intangible DNA that makes him devoid of great leadership and makes him devoid of being able to elevate locker rooms. That’s what we’re seeing in New York.”

Aaron Rodgers Needs To Turn Things Around, And He Needs To Do It Fast
Rodgers and the Jets still have some time to make something of this season, but their window will be much smaller if they lose to the Bills on Monday.
The veteran QB has thrown four interceptions along with his 1,093 passing yards and seven touchdown passes over five games, which, while decent, is not something you’d expect of a four-time MVP.
The Jets would like to see some return on their investment now that the Achilles injury is behind him, but it’s hard to see things changing anytime soon.
