The Russell Wilson trade that saw the Seattle Seahawks ship the superstar quarterback to Denver in exchange for a boatload of picks has shaken up the entire NFL. Several teams are feeling the effects.
The Broncos and Seahawks are obviously affected the most. Then there’s the Chiefs, Chargers and Raiders, who will all face a tougher road to the playoffs now that another title contender has emerged within their division. And then there’s the Rams, 49ers, Cardinals, and the rest of the NFC’s contenders, all of whom no longer have to worry about a Russell Wilson-led team making some noise within their conference.
But there’s one other team that Vegas feels is reaping the rewards of the Wilson trade. And that would be none other than the Buffalo Bills.
According to ESPN Stats Info, the Bills have emerged as the odds on favorite to win Super Bowl LVII as a result of the Russell Wilson trade. The Chiefs were previously the favorites, but they dropped to +850 once Wilson became a member of their division, making the Bills the new faves at +750 according to the Caesars Sportsbook odds.
Rounding out the top 5 are the Packers at +1000, followed by the Rams and Broncos at +1200.
The Bills and Chiefs engaged in one of the greatest games in NFL history during last season’s divisional round, when the Chiefs emerged with a 42-36 victory in overtime. Of course, they were ousted one week later by the Bengals, who appear to have some very nice value at +2000.
