With the return of Cooper Kupp, the Los Angeles Rams needed to make a move to rid themselves of a wideout on the team.
That move came on Tuesday when they agreed to a trade to send WR Van Jefferson to the Atlanta Falcons.
The compensation will be a swap of late-round picks in 2025, with Los Angeles giving up a seventh and getting a sixth back from Atlanta.
The 27-year-old was drafted by the Rams in 2020 out of Florida and has recently fallen out of the rotation in the passing game.
Jefferson’s best season in the league came in 2021 when he helped the club to a Super Bowl LVI title. During that regular season, he started in all 17 of his games played and caught 50 balls for 802 yards and six touchdowns.
In 2023, Jefferson has appeared in five games for the Rams and recorded eight receptions on 15 targets for 104 yards and no touchdowns.
