The NFL likely had a pretty tough task planning this year’s Super Bowl Halftime Show as Rihanna was always going to be a tough act to follow.
R&B star Usher Raymond will be the one doing the honors this time around and is just as excited as we are. The “U Got It Bad” singer knows how big this could be for his genre and expressed as much during an interview with ‘Good Morning America’.
He views the upcoming performance as an opportunity to pay homage to the greats who paved the way for him, but he also sees it as an avenue for keeping Black artists in the spotlight.
Usher won’t be alone, however. The likes of Reba McEntire, Post Malone, Andra Day, and Tiesto will also perform on the night, while it’s also rumored that he will be joined by rappers Ludacris and Lil Jon.

“Ludacris and Lil Jon will definitely be with Usher at the Super Bowl,” according to the source.
Usher, Ludacris, and Lil Jon combined for the hits “Yeah!” and “Lovers & Friends” back in 2004.
Meanwhile, Reba will be performing the national anthem while Post Malone will sing “America the Beautiful.” Andra Day will be responsible for “Lift Every Voice,” with Tiesto to be the first-ever Super Bowl in-game DJ.
It promises to be an exciting affair.
