Urban Meyer’s wife, Shelley Meyer, was clearly active as ever on Twitter Saturday as her husband began trending on social media for being at a bar.
Him being at the bar wasn’t the issue, but him being recorded while an unknown woman danced on him was the problem. The Jacksonville Jaguars first-year head coach was seen in similar clothes in a Twitter post on Friday night.
Another picture appeared to show Meyer smiling as he took the picture with the woman.
Shelley Meyer, the longtime wife of the three-time national title-winning head coach, took to Twitter and posted photos of her night where she was shown to be babysitting while he was having a great time.

“I had heard rumblings from multiple people that Meyer visited his steak house in the Short North and had more than a couple Bud Lights,” reported D.J. Byrnes of The Rooster. “And then, hours later, this video showing a man who looks exactly like Urban Meyer in a place that looks exactly like Urban Meyer’s Chop House in the Short North surfaced on the internet.”
Neither the Meyers, nor the Jaguars, have publicly acknowledged the video or verified it’s authenticity. According to the Florida Times-Union, the Jaguars were not issuing a statement or clarification about the video.
In the midst of a win-less season, don’t expect any of them to speak on it all. Urban and the Jags have bigger fish to fry on the field to find out how they will secure their first win of the year.
The Jaguars played Thursday night and lost against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Jaguars are 0-4 to start the 2021 season and have 19 consecutive losses dating back to last season.
