Odell Beckham Jr. must have been on cloud nine last night. After being labelled a “cancer” and getting dumped by the Cleveland Browns back in November, he found a new home in Los Angeles and helped the Rams reach Super Bowl glory.
He did suffer what appeared to be a serious knee injury, but it was all seemingly worth it, as the end result was a Super Bowl ring.
Well, less than 24 hours later, we have an update on the status of OBJ’s knee, and it is not good.
According to the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Beckham is believed to have suffered a torn ACL during Super Bowl LVI. OBJ is set to hit free agency this offseason, but based on the timeline of this injury, it’ll be very tough for him to make it back in time to see the field at all in 2022.
To make matters worse, this is the second torn ACL for Beckham in less than two years, having suffered a season-ending tear back in October of 2020.

Beckham was playing some pretty remarkable football since joining the Rams back in November. He caught a touchdown in seven of the 12 games he played for L.A. this year. That includes his performance in the Super Bowl, where he caught two balls for 52 yards and a touchdown before exiting the game.
