Jay Cutler had made the news in less than a week from him joining Twitter.
The former NFL Quarterback made waves on the popular social media site when he posted a photo of the Board of Education members and the caption, “Doing school board research. Looks like a 2024 campaign for me.” He followed up with another tweet, “August of 2024. I need 100 signatures and a petition from the county. Going to start getting John Hancocks today.”
Cutler is interested in it after a heated Williamson County School Board meeting, during which the board voted 7-to-3 to pass a mask mandate for the county’s elementary schools. Cutler is against masking kids.
Because of his stance, he lost a partnership deal with Uber Eats.
Soon after, Uber Eats would release a statement.

“We are proud of all the work Uber has done over the last year to help get as many people vaccinated as possible. As such, we prefer to partner with those who support that work”
It is unclear if Cutler is serious about seeking a position on the school board, but he did update his Twitter bio to include “future school board member.”
Cutler had only rejoined Twitter on Monday after using Instagram as his preferred social media platform in recent years.
