When people look around the league at starting quarterback situations, the Los Angeles Chargers are one of the first to brought up when folks envision Cam Newton playing ball in 2020.
Not many are giving any hope to Tyrod Taylor being the long-term starter out West as the team gets set to move into a new stadium.
But Taylor is a strong believer himself, which is why he sent a strong message to everyone in the league amid all of the speculation about Cam signing there and taking his job.
“We have a lot of talent on our team,” Taylor told Orange County Register on Sunday. “If I am the guy that would be calling the shots, I know for sure that we’ll go out and turn a lot of heads.”
Taylor also talked about him working out with Cam, but nobody saying anything when he worked out with Deshaun Watson the week before.
“I just threw with Deshaun Watson the week before, but being that he’s not a free agent, most people aren’t going to make a big deal about that. But it’s just two guys working on their craft trying to get better.”

“I wasn’t implementing or trying to say anything with the photos. We were just out there working and the photos got sent. So no regrets, I posted it. We’re really good friends and we’re going to continue to remain friends, and we’re going to continue to push each other and try to find ways to get better.”
