If you were to ask 100 football fans who the five best wide receivers in NFL history are, all of them would probably include Jerry Rice somewhere in the top five. One star WR in the NFL does not have him there at all.
Miami Dolphins star wideout Tyreek Hill was recently asked to give his top five receivers of all time, and he surprisingly left Jerry rice off of it.
Hill listed Antonio Brown, Terrell Owens, Torry Holt, Calvin Johnson, and Randy Moss.
“I’m a Torry Holt fan. A lot of people may be mad, but I love Torry Holt.”
Hill attempted to explain why Rice didn’t make the cut for his personal top five.
“A lot of people get mad at me because I don’t put Jerry Rice in my category,” Hill said.
“I love Jerry Rice — he played a long time in the NFL. He’s like the alpha of our position. He wasn’t playing in the sweet spot where I was able to watch. I was able to, in my rookie year, watch prime A.B. go out there and go for like 200.”

Holt was an outstanding receiver in his own right as he caught 920 passes, had 13,382 yards, and scored 74 touchdowns, twice leading the NFL in receiving yards and once in receptions.
However, he is no Jerry Rice.
Rice was a 10-time All-Pro who holds the NFL records for most receptions (1,549), receiving yards (22,895), and receiving touchdowns (197). There’s a case to be made that Rice is the greatest player to ever suit up in the NFL at any position.
For Tyreek Hill, he is arguably the best current wide receiver in the league who is looking to win yet another Super Bowl ring, but for his team in Miami.
