Tyreek Hill had lots of Dolphins fans sweating after news broke on Wednesday suggesting he might not be available to play against the Patriots this weekend.
Hill, who is having a remarkable season and is on track to become the first wide receiver to have a 2,000-receiving yard season, having set that goal for himself, missed practice on Wednesday. And teammate Tua Tagovailoa would prompt some concern after he suggested the Dolphins might be without the star wideout when they face their divisional rivals on Sunday.
Fellow receiver Jaylen Waddle said it was above his pay grade when quizzed on Hill potentially sitting out in Week 8.
Fears have since been allayed as the former Chiefs pass-catcher was back in practice on Thursday, running routes, making catches, and performing high-intensity change-of-direction drills. A video posted to X by NFL reporter Cameron Wolfe shows Hill bumping to a Kirk Franklin song, suggesting he was in very good spirits.
Hill has made 53 catches for 902 yards and seven touchdowns in seven games. He’s likely to go over the 1,000-yard mark in his next game, which would leave him with nine games to get to another 1,000 should he remain healthy throughout the rest of the regular season.
