Miami’s injury situation has the potential to affect the outcome of Sunday’s game.
Tyreek Hill is arguably the most important piece on the Miami Dolphins’ high-octane offense, but the electrifying receiver may not be available to face the New York Jets in Week 15.
Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel announced Friday that superstar wide receiver Tyreek Hill will be listed as questionable to play against the New York Jets after he missed practice all week with an ankle injury.
According to NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe, McDaniel said the following about Hill’s status and the decision of whether or not to let him play: “It’s his career. When we talk, this is what will happen. … If he’s confident he can be himself and I have the support of the trainers, he will play. If it’s not, he won’t.”
Hill suffered a first-quarter ankle injury in Monday night’s 28-27 home loss to the Tennessee Titans. He eventually returned in the second half but was clearly not the same player. He played 34 of the Dolphins’ 72 offensive snaps.
Even if he suits up, it’s unlikely he’ll do so at 100 percent health against the Jets’ stout defense.

Hill has played in all 32 games, including the playoffs, since joining the Dolphins last season. Hill, the NFL’s leading receiver 1,542 yards, is in the running to become the first player to have 2,000 yards receiving in a season.
