On Wednesday, Tyreek Hill got a huge news after the Johnson County (Kansas) District Attorney’s office declined to file charges against Kansas City Chiefs star wide receiver Tyreek Hill or his fiancée.
District Attorney Stephen M. Howe stated he believes a crime did occur, but stated the evidence in the case doesn’t clearly establish who committed the crime.
“We are deeply troubled by this situation and are concerned about the health and welfare of the child in question,” Howe said.
Less than 24 hours after that announcement, Hill released a statement:
“My son’s health and happiness is my number one priority,” he said in the statement provided to The Star. “I want to thank the Kansas City Chiefs, my attorneys, my agent and my union for supporting me through this.
“My focus remains on working hard to be the best person for my family and our community I can be, and the best player to help our team win.”
Back on March 14th, officers in Overland Park, Kansas, were called to Hill’s home to investigate an alleged battery in which a juvenile was a victim. Tyreek was not listed in the report.

Officers had previously been called to the same residence on March 5th to investigate a report of child abuse or neglect and Hill’s name was listed in that report. The case was reportedly closed three days later when prosecution was declined.
As far as his career goes, Hill caught 87 passes last season and ranked fourth in the NFL in both receiving yardage (1,479) and touchdown receptions (12) during the 2018 season.
