Chiefs safety Tyrann Mathieu is helping people affected by the pandemic in his home state of Louisiana pay the rent.
The defensive back recently teamed up with Bleacher Report to help those who’ve been impacted by the coronavirus pandemic, providing two months rent to families in need.
This season with the Chiefs, Mathieu picked up the nickname “The Landlord.”
“What’s up guys, I’m Tyrann Mathieu, also known as The Landlord,” Mathieu said in the preview trailer. “They call me The Landlord because I own the field, and I take care of Chiefs Kingdom. But right now, my social responsibility goes much beyond that.”
