Last week, a report surfaced that there was mutual interest between San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk’s camp and the Jacksonville Jaguars. The 49ers asked for the Jaguars first-round pick in this year’s draft, which is No. 17 overall, and wide receiver Zay Jones. That asking price was way too high.
Aiyuk is entering the final year of his current contract and is expected to be on the market as the 49ers look to move on before he hits free agency next offseason.
In the meantime, the Buffalo Bills are reportedly expected to rework Stefon Diggs’ contract this offseason rather than trading or releasing the four-time Pro Bowl wide receiver so it does not appear he will be going anywhere. Buffalo originally acquired Diggs in a trade with the Minnesota Vikings in 2020.
The Pittsburgh Steelers Ae Re-Tooling The Team For The 2024 Season To Extend Winning Streak
Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Tomlin holds the record for most consecutive non-losing seasons to begin a coaching career with 17 and has never had a losing season.
The team started out hot last year, then got cold, and promptly picked it up to not only salvage the season but get to the playoffs. The main thing hurting them last year was quarterback play which effects everything on the team.
Having two starter level quarterbacks on the squad, everyone, including the wide receiver core, shold benefit during the 2024 season if eeverything works out well.
