Former NFL tight end Rob Gronkowski has revealed two NFL teams reached out to him after he posted a tweet in which he claimed he was bored.
Gronk set tongues wagging after tweeting, “I’m kinda bored” on Wednesday, teasing up an announcement. Many believed he might be set for a comeback, with the playoffs approaching. But, turns out everyone who thought so was wrong.
The four-time Super Bowl winner is joining a team, just not one in the National Football League, and tweeted out a pretty funny video to announce he’s going to be working out with FanDuel moving forward.
Gronk Was A Wanted Man
Fans aren’t the only ones disappointed with Gronk’s decision not to return. At least two NFL teams are as well.
Speaking to Kay Adams on the Up and Adams Show, the 33-year-old said two teams reached out to him. He would not say which teams, however.
“Since the tweet, two teams reached out. It was unbelievable. I won’t say who, but yeah, there were two teams,” he disclosed. “It was pretty nuts to me that everyone actually saw the tweet. It shows how far social media can go… I barely tweet, actually. I just tweet once in a while. But ‘I’m kinda bored?’ People took that as I was coming back to football.”

Gronkowski’s agent was also intrigued by the tweet and wanted to shop him around the league too. “My agent called me… Just put it this way, Drew [Rosenhaus] wanted to call every team,” he added.
Adams pressed the former player to reveal the teams but he would not say.
“My lips are sealed,” he replied.
And so is a deal with FanDuel.
