30 of the 32 NFL teams have a Pro Bowler for 2022.
The two clubs that won’t be sending someone to the festivities this year? As noted by Ari Meirov of Pro Football Focus, the Chicago Bears and Jacksonville Jaguars are the only teams lacking a Pro Bowler for the season.
There’s a case to be made that Bears quarterback Justin Fields and Jaguars signal-caller Trevor Lawrence deserved Pro Bowl selections. Both sophomores are enjoying strong 2022 campaigns after frustrating rookie seasons.
Bears rookie safety Jaquan Brisker, one of the NFL’s top first year players, is also a notable snub. For the Jaguars, running back Travis Etienne Jr. (917 rushing yards), wide receiver Christian Kirk (966 rushing yards) and cornerback Tyson Campbell (12 pass defenses, two interceptions) also come to mind as snubs.
Last year, Chicago sent special teams returner Jakeem Grant and outside linebacker Robert Quinn to the Pro Bowl. Jacksonville didn’t have a single Pro Bowler in the forgettable and drama-filled Urban Meyer season.
