Two juveniles have been charged in connection with the shooting that took place at the end of the Chiefs Super Bowl victory parade in Kansas City on Wednesday.
The incident left one person dead and 22 injured, with more than half of them being kids. According to TMZ, two of the three suspects who were arrested have been charged.
The report notes that, while the two individuals have been charged with gun-related offenses and resisting arrest, they haven’t been taken to task for anything pertaining to the death. It is expected that there will be more charges further down the line, however.
Three people were apprehended on the scene of the shooting on Wednesday, with one of them appearing to be a much older man. However, the youngsters are the only ones who have been charged.
The suspects are being held at a juvenile detention center at the moment. Their court hearings will not be open to the public given that they are minors.
The Kansas City Star (H/T ProFootballTalk) has also reported that they could be tried as adults based on the outcome of a hearing.
