Football is back, baby! And if you needed any proof that the people are excited about it, we got just the thing.
The NFL kicked off their 2023 preseason with the traditional Hall of Fame Game last Thursday in Canton, Ohio. It was a battle between the New York Jets and the Cleveland Browns, and while none of the starters suited up for the meaningless contest, that didn’t stop a massive number of football fans from tuning in.
According to NBC (which broadcasted the event), this year’s Hall of Fame game attracted 6.3-million viewers, making it the most-watched Hall of Fame game since 2018.
The numbers are staggering, especially when you consider the fact that neither Aaron Rodgers nor Deshaun Watson were dressed for this game.
One notable player who did dress was former second-overall pick Zach Wilson. He completed thee of his five pass attempts for 65 yards, but it was Browns who emerged victorious, 21-16.
