It was not immediately clear what charges were leveled against Duane “Keffe D” Davis, who was arrested early Friday.
Shakur was 25 when he was gunned down in a drive-by shooting near the Las Vegas Strip on the night of Sept. 7, 1996. The rapper was in a BMW driven by Death Row Records founder Marion “Suge” Knight.
For those who have constantly followed the case, the man in question has done tons of interviews about being in the car that fateful night in Las Vegas when he said his nephew, Orlando “Baby Lane” Anderson, pulled the trigger. Anderson died in a shootout two years later in Compton, California.
Shakur was feuding at the time with rap rival Biggie Smalls, who was fatally shot in March 1997.
