Tua Tagovaiola’s trainer Nick Hicks has taken to social media to address rumors of the Miami Dolphins quarterback possibly retiring at the end of the season on the back of his fitness issues.
Tua has had a good run with the Dolphins this year, putting up career numbers. But it seems he can’t catch a break as he has been made to miss several games the season he’s finally managed to get it going.
The QB kept the Dolphins in the playoff race and has been incredible when he’s playing. However, he’s found it difficult to remain on the pitch, having suffered multiple concussions in 2022.
Tua is back in concussion protocol and isn’t likely to play again this season. This has brought about a lot of talk pertaining to the player possibly retiring. The former Alabama star’s brother responded to the rumors this week, and his trainer has decided to address them as well.
“I know some of you are mad — but UNO ain’t going anywhere for a very very long time get over it,” Hicks tweeted on Thursday.
“And BTW — NO ONE cares about your ‘fandom.’ Being miserable is your own prerogative. Especially when the season isn’t over and the playoffs are ready and waiting. So, Jump ship & find another team. No one cares lol. Especially the Miami Dolphins and their players.”

The injury situation is very unfortunate for Tua; it’s also concerning. Should he keep taking hits that leave him concussed, retirement will really become a possibility.
The Dolphins signal caller has played in 13 games this season, throwing for 3,548 yards, 28 touchdowns, and eight interceptions. He has also made 64.8 percent of his passes to match 105.5 QB rating.
He will need to learn how to avoid head injuries moving forward. Otherwise, his career could be seriously affected.
