Great news from the NFL world, as it is now being reported that Tua Tagovailoa will be released from the hospital tonight and will travel with the team back to Miami.
While I’m sure many will be skeptical of the decision to release Tua following his frightening head injury on Thursday Night Football earlier tonight, it is good to hear that he’s in well-enough condition for them to even be able to consider releasing him and sending him home on a flight.

Tua Tagovailoa suffered the head injury late in the second quarter after being taken hard to the ground by a Bengals defender and slamming his head on the ground.
Amazon cameras caught Tua’s hands locking up in a rather strange fashion, at which point everyone watching knew things were getting serious.
Tua was eventually stretchered off the field and taken to a local hospital.

Some immediately pointed to the possibility of Tua having suffered “Second Impact Syndrome” after seeing how his hands locked up. That type of reaction is a known symptom of the condition, which can be deadly in some cases.
Tua, of course, was just five days removed from suffering what many believed to be a concussion during a victory over the Buffalo Bills.
The Dolphins quarterback left that game, but he returned after halftime after he apparently passed concussion protocol — despite the fact that he displayed clear, visible signs of a head injury when he stumbled after getting up from the hit, which is supposed to automatically rule him out for the remainder of the contest.
Needless to say, there will be many questions to be asked about this entire situation in the coming days. For now, it’s good to see that Tua’s doing okay.
