Tua Tagovailoa has shown off his drastic new look for the offseason. The Miami Dolphins star quarterback is rocking some facial hair.
Tua rocked a mustache at his foundation’s event at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida.
Tagovailoa, now healthy after concussion issues sidelined him for portions of last season, will be the team’s starting quarterback for at least the next two seasons after Miami picked up the fifth-year option on his rookie contract.
It ended any questions about the team going after anybody else this offseason and they made sure Tua knew he was still wanted in South Beach following a season where he excelled and dealt with injuries to his head.
Aside from his new mustache, Tagovailoa updated the media on his offseason training and how he’s feeling heading into the summer.
“Offseason training has been good,” Tagovailoa said. “Been working on strength in many areas and been chipping away at things I felt like I needed to work on to get to where I feel like I can get to in later parts of the season. … How do I feel now compared to a year ago? I’m smiling a lot more, so I would say good.”

The 25-year-old said he’s “smiling a lot more” than last year and “very excited” to get ready for the 2023 season.
Tagovailoa suffered two known concussions during his 2022 campaign. The second reported head injury ended his season, which caused him to miss multiple games that included their playoff loss.
The Dolphins will be looking to build on their 2022 AFC wild-card appearance when the team takes the field again in September.
