Tua Tagovailoa just about scared everybody on Sunday Night Football when he lowered his head when running out of the pocket.
Tagovailoa scrambled out of the pocket during one play and as safety Tre Norwood came within tackling distance of the Dolphins quarterback, Tagovailoa lowered his shoulder and attempted to truck the Steelers defensive back.
That was one of many plays where he did that. Following the game, the Dolphins quarterback spoke to the media about that play.
“I can see the first down, and to me there were close calls where maybe if I do just put my shoulder down I could get forward progress,” Tagovailoa explained. “That’s all it was. I wasn’t trying to be Superman or a superhero out there.”
“I came to the sideline after some of those plays. Those are things I shouldn’t be doing,” he said.

Tagovailoa received a massive standing ovation from Dolphins fans in attendance as he took the field. He repaid them back by stopping their losing streak, despite the team not scoring a single point after halftime.
Tua Tagovailoa completed 21 of his 35 pass attempts for 261 yards, and one touchdown in Sunday’s 16-10 win over the Steelers. He also carried the ball four times for 15 yards.
It was his third time this season throwing for over 250 yards.
