A day after a scary incident in the Miami Dolphins’ loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, quarterback Tua Tagovailoa took to social media to show his appreciation for everyone who sent prayers his way.
Tagovailoa was taken off the field on a stretcher after being sacked and thrown to the turf. He was taken to the hospital, released, and flew home with the Dolphins.
On Friday afternoon, Tua posted a message of appreciation to everyone who showed support and concern.
The Miami Dolphins are going to have to answer many questions about Tua Tagovailoa and his injuries over the past five days in the aftermath of the quarterback being taken off on a stretcher and being diagnosed with a concussion.
Tagovailoa was controversially allowed to re-enter last week’s game against the Buffalo Bills after sustaining what appeared to be a head injury that had him wobbly on the field. Tagovailoa exited and returned to that game, but the NFLPA said afterward it would review whether the Dolphins followed the concussion protocol.
The 24-year-old Hawai’i native missed four games in 2021 while recovering from a rib injury.
