The Miami Dolphins are headed back to the postseason for the first time since 2016 after an 11-6 win Sunday over the New York Jets.
The win snapped a five-game losing streak that temporarily pushed the Dolphins out of the playoff field after an 8-3 start to the season.
Tua Tagovailoa wasn’t available for this game, so in his place was Skylar Thompson who completed 20 of 31 passes for 152 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions.
The Miami Dolphins quarterback, who had missed the last two contests of the regular season due to being in the league’s concussion protocol, was all smiles as he waited in the tunnel to greet his teammates and celebrate after the win.
It’s great to see him in such high spirits after a traumatic season.
