The rumors suggesting Tom Brady may return to the league will not be stopping anytime soon.
The Las Vegas Raiders’ recently acquired starting quarterback, Jimmy Garoppolo, has a unique contract structure. Garoppolo failed his physical after signing with the Raiders, according to multiple sources. The failed physical is the result of a left foot ailment that necessitated surgery. As a result, before the two sides reached an agreement, the Raiders added a stipulation to his three-year, $75 million contract requiring him to pass a physical before the start of the 2023 season. If he fails the physical at that time, the team has the authority to terminate the contract entirely.
That news as well as Tom Brady having an ownership stake in the franchise has many wondering if he’ll come out of retirement to suit up for the Las Vegas franchise.
During a recent interview with TMZ Sports, former Cowboys quarterback Troy Aikman stated he would not completely dismiss the idea of Brady playing again and explained why.
“I don’t want to speak for Tom, but I wouldn’t rule anything out,” Aikman told TMZ. “He obviously has a relationship with the head coach, he knows the offense, he’ll keep himself in good shape.
“… I would bet that just nothing is off the table, as far as what may occur during the season or what Tom’s role may be. I think he’s done playing, but you just never know.”
Aikman isn’t the only one who feels like Brady will play for the Raiders.

According to at least one sportsbook, the betting favorite would be none other than the Raiders’ newest minority owner, and the most accomplished quarterback of all time, Tom Brady.
Tom Brady is 46 years old, but he can still produce on the field, and remains in great shape, so these rumors and comments won’t end until he actually goes a full year without playing. Even then, people will say he wanted a break so he could rest his body for one more shot at a Super Bowl.
This newest conversation won’t end until Jimmy G passes his physical.
