Pro Football Hall of Famer Troy Aikman has never been afraid to criticize NFL officiating throughout his tenure as an analyst.
Unsurprisingly, the “Monday Night Football” analyst and three-time Super Bowl champion was at it again during the New York Giants-Green Bay Packers game at MetLife Stadium.
Near the end of the first half, Aikman was frustrated with a stoppage in play after the Packers booted a go-ahead field goal.
“Just make a call,” Aikman said. “Just make a decision…and this is what stops all these games. And the officials, I know, they’ve been talked about every week. But this is ridiculous what we’re watching right now.”
The officials are especially under the microscope this week following the controversial ending in the Chiefs-Bills game on Sunday afternoon. Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid blasted the refs after the game, specifically an offside call on Kadarius Toney that took his go-ahead TD off the board.
Most football fans are with you on this one, Troy.
